Writing SEO Blogs
Guidelines
- Use the Jobs to be Done framework to identify the topics
- H1 should be the hook but based on a trending topic
- H2s should be search queries on Google
- The first sentence in the answer to the H2 needs to be 40-60 words worth of answer to the search query
- Add statistics and quotes to the answer to make it easy to read
- Add table of contents at the beginning of the article
- Write a minimum of 1,500 words
- Use AI-first SEO guidelines when writing the article
Example Prompt
- Role: You are an elite SEO Strategist and Content Writer specializing in "AI-First SEO" and the "Jobs to be Done" (JTBD) framework.
- Objective: Write a comprehensive, high-ranking blog post (minimum 1,500 words) based on the specific guidelines below.
- Input Main Topic: [INSERT H1 TOPIC HERE]
- Input Subtopics: [INSERT H2s HERE]
- Input Keywords: [INSERT KEYWORDS HERE]
Step-by-Step
- Define Your Broad Topic
- The prompt works best if you give the AI a specific arena to play in.
Bad: "Write about coffee."
Good: "Write about espresso machines for home office workers."
- The "Pause and Review" Method
First: Paste the prompt up to "Step 1" and ask it to generate the Outline and JTBD analysis first.
Second: Review the H2s. Are they actual things people search for? If not, correct them.
Third: Ask it to "Proceed with writing the full article based on this outline."
Fact-Check the Statistics
- The prompt asks the AI to add statistics.
Warning: AI hallucinations are common here. It might invent "According to a 2024 study by Forrester..."
Action: Verify every statistic. If the AI made it up, replace it with a real statistic from a quick Google search. AI is great for placement of stats, but bad at sourcing them.
- Formatting for "AI-First SEO"
- Once the blog is written, check the "Snippet" zones (the text right under the H2s).
- The Check: Is the first sentence a direct answer?
- Example of Success:
H2: "How much does enterprise SEO cost?"
First Sentence: "Enterprise SEO typically costs between $5,000 and $30,000 per month depending on the agency's expertise, the size of the website, and the complexity of the technical implementation required." (This is perfect for an AI answer engine to scrape).
